Bell was purchased from Henry & Liz Siemers of Iowa. She arrived at LP Painted Ponys in Lillington, NC on 21 September 2009.

When purchased, we had little background on "Bell". So, in December 09, she was bitted up for the first time. In February 2010, she was started in ground-driving in harness in preperation for single and pair driving. We are hoping to hook her as a pair with her full sister, "Bit". "Bell" is level headed and easy - and has now been ground-driven through ditches, over our little bridge on our home property, through the woods connecting us with our neighbors and along the road with traffic. She's graduated to pulling a single pvc pole along either side and will soon be hooked to either a tire or a drag for the first time this week (3rd week, Apr 2010). "Bell" has been confirmed in foal on April 24th by our new veterinarian, Dr. Cindy Eaton, DVM, via portable external ultrasound.
