"AJ" is exceptionally well mannered. This is ideal, as he has passed on his good disposition to his sons and daughters - making them easy for families to handle. Our daughters have riden him both english and western. He has also been a lesson pony for a local riding instructor for other children to learn to ride. He has been started over 2' fences and is trained to drive.

"AJ" has now sired 30 tobiano pinto foals of which 19 are fillies and 11 are colts. 10 of these foals have been purebred Shetlands while others have been out of a variety of other breed pony and horse mares. He has sired foals maturing as small as 38" (or 9.2 hands) on up to 14 hands in height. All of his foals that are now mature show the ability to be versatile - going both western and huntseat under saddle. Several of his daughters are now doing great as driving ponies in Kentucky and in Southern Pines, NC.

Above shots taken in June 2005 - during the Cape Fear Trail Riders horse show in Wade, NC.

Here is Madira driving AJ. No, this is not a safe way to drive - any pony. 'Dira has learned how to drive him this way and enjoys it. Now that she is 13, in 2006, she wants to learn to drive him correctly.

Here is a listing of all of his foals and the pictures of them.
